RackMon is a self-hosted product. The short version: our website doesn't track you, the product you install never phones home, and we only hold the minimum needed to sell and support a license.
This website (rackmon.app)
- It is a static site. We set no advertising or analytics cookies and use no third-party trackers.
- Your browser's local storage is used only to remember your theme (light/dark) and language preference. That never leaves your device.
- Our server keeps standard web access logs (IP address, timestamp, page requested) for security and troubleshooting, retained for a short period.
The RackMon software you install
- RackMon runs on your infrastructure. Your monitoring data — devices, metrics, alerts, users — is stored in your database and is never sent to us.
- The product does not phone home. The only optional outbound call is an update check (a plain request for a public version file) which is off by default and sends no information about your install.
- If you use the in-app support form, the message you type — plus basic context such as your RackMon version and edition — is sent to us so we can help. Nothing is sent unless you click send.
Buying a license
- Checkout is handled by our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy. They collect and process your payment and billing details under their own privacy policy. We never see or store your card number.
- To issue and deliver your license we receive and store your email address and the order/licence record (edition, date). Your license key is emailed to you from
no-reply@rackmon.appusing our email provider, Resend.
